My name is Denise Stewart and 2016-2017 will mark my 4th year as principal with Frenship ISD. As a child, I attended a new campus when attendance boundaries changed/a new school was built. So when I was announced the new principal of Upland Heights, I was beyond excited. I now have the chance to be a part of someone else’s excitement like I was when I was little. I consider it a great honor and privilege to open this new school and to work with you and your child. Let the traditions and excitement begin!
A little about myself…I graduated from Texas Tech University with my bachelor’s degree and then taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grade. I earned my Masters in Administration from Lubbock Christian University and have served as a principal at Willow Bend Elementary and now Upland Heights Elementary.
I’ve been married to my hubby for almost 13 years. His name is Mike and he also serves as an administrator in Lubbock ISD. We have three kiddos. Addison is 8 years old, Ryland is 6 years old, and Maddox is 1.
I love spending time with my family, going to the movies, eating out, shopping, or attending Texas Tech football games. I am a huge Red Raider fan!
This upcoming year is going to be an exciting time as we create the culture, climate, and learning experiences together. I thank you in advance for your support.
